They arrived for mother’s day, and are now 10 days old!
Little weekend out to the border of Oregon/Washington in Cape Disappointment state park to walk the last steps of Lewis and Clark’s trail as they completed the 18 months mission that Thomas Jefferson gave them. As it turned out they arrived at that very same spot on just about the same day we were there visiting, Monday November 18th.. coincidence!
We suspect, reading Lewis’ journal entry that we had a much better weather than they did though.. Amazingly warm and sunny for us, dismally cold, rainy and windy for them.
LA : Disneyland, Universal studios
San Diego : chill by the pool, Legoland
San Francisco : Chocolate factory and Jake interviews.
Bob took us flying on his little plane and gave Liam is first piloting lesson. Liam had full control of the plane for a good 10mn and his now hooked!
I got to enjoy the view of Boston and the area and get a bit sick when Liam started doing a few dives after Bob suggested it.
Yiikes!! this is not a video game!
Once again we are going back to the roots (at least for myself, though I am pretty much uprooted nowadays) that is the South of France.
6 weeks running around in the fields of sunflowers and lavender while Jake who spent about 10 days with us is called back to the Great Northwest to pack and move our stuff to our next abode, somewhere lost in the pit of Redmond (I do not like Redmond).
Liam had a fun time, splashing in the pool with his Uncle, and even his Mamie and Papi gave it a go!
We also had the visit of Sophie (Liam’s friend from the french school from back home) and his French friend Charlotte came and stayed with us for a couple of days as well.
And when we were not swimming we were lounging around, because that is what a vacation is for after all!
Of course we also had to watch the world cup (with France going to final! but how deceived were we all with the end of the game and Zidane’s action).
Of course we also got to prepare and enjoy great food, visit places and enjoy time with friends and family.
or swim in the pool naked while enjoying a nice glass of wine!
Thank you to Marianne and Jacques for having us over once again this year!
